Randall Model #25-5 "Trapper"Rick Bowles Scrim #963(early 2002)"Colorado Timberwolf" 5" Stainless Steel Blade Top of Blade Notched for Thumb Placement Single Nickel Silver Hilt Black & Aluminum Spacers Scrimmed Elephant Ivory Between Stacked Leather Duralumin Butt Cap Brown Sullivan Model A SheathCorrectly Stamped 25 5 on Reverse Unused Fine India Sharpening Stone Never Used / Never Sharpened / Never Carried New Randall Made Knives Carry CaseA Beautiful Piece in Excellent+++ Condition Here's some general information about this model knife from the Randall website: Model 25 "The Trapper" -- 5" and 6" blades of 1/4" stock. 4 3/8"-½" handle of leather and stag. Thumb notch and top of hilt molded for thumb placement. Nickel silver hilt. Duralumin butt cap; Brass available upon request. Standard with natural stag. (Name etching, stainless blade, and wrist thong only options available.) Drop point hunter, similar to Model 11, but handle construction is reminiscent of 1930's design. Model 25-5" supplied with pouch sheath. Excellent skinning, outdoors knife. (Wt. 8 oz) My summary: this is a Randall model 25 "Trapper" with an elephant ivory insert scrimmed by Rick Bowles. It's a Colorado Timberwolf -- the work has been initialed and numbered (RB 963) by the artist. This knife / scrim is currently featured in the gallery section on the artist's website -- not many are there -- this one's obviously quite special. It's a rare, very collectible knife -- here's a full description: 5" stainless steel blade notched on top for thumb placement, nickel silver hilt, elephant ivory between black / aluminum / stacked leather washers, and a duralumin butt cap. Condition: the knife looks new but for the check / crack in the ivory. The silver lining: at least you won't be laying in bed at night listening for the dreaded "pop". The sheath is a brown Sullivan model A with an unused Fine India sharpening stone in the pouch. Correct RMK & 25 5 stamps on the back. The sheath has not been carried but does exhibit light "in sheath" storage and handling marks. I've included a full set of 12 photos with close up's -- the scrim work is gorgeous and only looks better up close and in detail. Rick's work is in collections around the world -- this particular piece is quite pretty. The new Randall carry case is included -- I'll pack everything very well for shipping. Good luck.Additional info: a note included with the knife states that the scrim was done in April of 2002. The note also states that the previous owner had the knife for the last 7 years -- he purchased this knife from the late Tom Clinton at the BLADE SHOW in 2001.
