Possibly French?' Description   Getting up in years and have decided to sell some of my 45 year Bowie collection. Some of which I've had for many years. Most of the starting prices are at or below what I have in them. Please check out the other knives I have listed.  This one is a Large and very old Antique Bowie. Not sure about country of origin. but i think it's French. Stamped Cualidade Primetra-Garanteed in an oval with some sort of design work in two lines across each side of the blade. 12" overall, 8" clip point blade. Blade has some pitting and age discoloration. The very tip of the blade is slightly rounded. Slab bone handles in good condition with a 1/4" crack that is barely noticeable. Handles are held on with brass pins and a brass cap on the tang. The knife was made without a guard. No sheath. A very old and very unusual knife.
