A must for any serious collection, this knife is fantastic. Ivory clad on both sides of the handle w/ scrimshaw work on each side. The ivory plates are held in place by four(4) small screws in front and back. The scrimshaw is done by well-known artist Linda Karst. The primary artwork on the front side is an amazingly realistic depiction of a tiger laying in some tall grass. Absolutely incredible detail! The back side depicts five(5) forward facing pawprints, which are also nicely detailed. The blade was made by knife maker L.D.B. On the top of the blade, the number '002' is stamped. A custom wood stand is included which holds knife at a display angle. Dimensions: Total length -- 8½"; Blade length -- 4". Wood stand length -- 9". Condition: The ivory has no cracks. The holes for the screws were cleanly drilled and did not damage ivory. The blade lock and release mechanism works perfectly. Blade is very sharp. This beauty is in Excellent Condition. This knife was originally purchased w/ no scrimshaw on the handle. The ivory was plain. The scrimshaw work was a custom-ordered request for a tiger design. Due to the artist's skill and reputation, she was in high demand at the time of the order. Consequently, the artwork took several months to complete.
