If you do not know what that is please contact Paypal before bidding. This auction is for an extremely rare handmade Kit Carson Model 4 with 4" 6K Stellite blade and grooved Titanium scales. A word about the scales on this knife. In 1996 I had a chat with Kit at which time he told me that his son was responsible for machining these scales and that that year was to be the last of these scales.. I bought this knife about a decade ago, and although it was never used it was a bit sticky from sitting around so I immediately sent it to Kit Carson for a clean up. He told me this knife was one of only three that he made in this combo. At that time I also had one of the other ones which had a fully serrated blade which now resides in the case of a local collector. The three knives were designed for tactical use by guys who would be in or near salt water so Kit chose to use materials with absolutely no iron in them. This knife is made entirely with Stellite and Titaium, including the clip, back strap, and all the screws! As I said, there are only three like this in existence. I’m collecting guitars now so some of my knife collection will make it’s way to the open market, and this one will be especially tough to let go. Condition of this knife is mint, as-new, with no issues at all. Action is like silk with tight lock-up There are no signs of this knife ever being carried and it has not been sharpened by anyne other than Kit. Payment must be received within 7-days of auction close.
