Description
Hello again. For you that don't know me I am Mike (Michael) W. Bryant, I have bought & sold on ebay for almost 8 years durning the Fall & Winter Month's. I try not to over grade the knives I offer, LIKE SOME SELLERS, but I also hate to kill a knife by nit picking it to death. PLEASE NOTE. Very few if any knives can be found that are perfect. Man made them and as such no man is perfect, so why should we think anything is Perfect of this world. I am a born again Christian and do my best to live as one. I strive to be Honest in my dealings. If you have a problem when we deal do not hesitate to call me my Cell Phone number is 731-394-5817 If you happen to have an ISSUE PLEASE BE FAIR, I WILL RESPOND as I SHOULD. I Never Call people NAMES, & THREATS are normally useless, NEGATIVE FEEDBACK doesn't help resolve any Problems. This I believe this is an OLD ROGERS JIGGED BONE " ROGERS STAG", FOLDING HUNTER these handles are RARE according to every book I own AND ACCORDING TO MR. LEVINE HAVE NOT BEEN PRODUCED SENSE 1962 . The following Is what I have knowledge of that you can not determine with out holding the knife in your hand. The Blade snap if Sharp and Krisp on Both Blades, both have blade wobble. The Skinner Blade when Closing sometimes has a grinding sound that I believe is from fine grit being betwen the Blade and Bolster. The Skinner Blade is 3 7/8 inches long, The Clip Blade is 3 3/4 inches long, The Frame is 5 1/4 inches in legnth. The Case Shield is the XX Type. Their are no Markings on the Blades, I have looped both and can't find any letters or numbers . PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES I HAVE INCLUDED 12 AND HAVE ASKED EBAY TO SUPERSIZE THEM SO YOU CAN DETERMINE THE CONDITION. THE FOLLOWING WAS OBTAINED FROM THE INTERNET. ROGERS BONE (c)1987 | WINTERBOTTOM BONE (c)1990 by BERNARD LEVINE * BOX 2404 * EUGENE OR 97402 * 541-484-0294KNIFE WORLD * PO BOX 3395 * KNOXVILLE TN 37927WHUT IZZIT NUMBER 119 NOVEMBER 1987 Rogers bone was made by the Rogers Manufacturing Company of Rockfall, Connecticut. On the telephone I interviewed Mr. Vincent Bitel, Senior, president of the Rogers Manufacturing Company, and his son, Mr. Vincent Bitel, Junior. Most of Rogers's pocketknife handle material was made in thedistinctive jigging pattern that collectors call "Rogers bone," but that the firm in fact called "Rogers Stag." Rogers Stag was made using a specially designed jigging machine which the company still has, but that has not been used since 1962 (they have no interest instarting it up again). They also made small quantities of otherstyles of jigged bone for pocket knives. If you have any other questions ask. I ship USPS PRIORITY MAIL W/DELIVERY CONFIRM ON PACKAGES, IN BOXES.
