Made of 18ga steel with heavy brass face "cross". It is well made and fits a head correctly, 8" side to side, 9" front to back about a 21-22" head with room for light padding. This 14ga steel, check my other listings for the 14ga version. All our helms come with a free cotton padded cap for a comfortable fit over a range of head sizes.
